KODIAK Construction Recruiting & Staffing is recruiting on behalf of an unnamed client for an HRIS Specialist focused on supporting and optimizing Workday HCM and U.S. Payroll systems. The role handles Workday Payroll configuration, administration, integrations, reporting, troubleshooting, and collaboration with HR, Payroll, Finance, and IT teams.

Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Workday Payroll, including earnings, deductions, payroll calculations, and business processes
• Investigate payroll system errors, configuration issues, and data discrepancies
• Support Workday HCM administration, calculated fields, custom reports, and security configurations
• Monitor and troubleshoot Workday integrations, including Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), Core Connectors, and third-party systems
• Perform system testing, data validation, and payroll reconciliations
• Support Workday releases, enhancements, and process improvements
• Collaborate with HR, Payroll, Finance, and IT teams to resolve technical issues and optimize system functionality

Skills

• 3+ years of experience in HRIS, payroll systems, or HR technology
• Hands-on technical experience with Workday Payroll configuration, administration, or troubleshooting
• Strong understanding of Workday HCM, payroll calculations, earnings, deductions, and business processes
• Experience with Workday reporting, calculated fields, and data validation
• Familiarity with Workday integrations, EIB, or Core Connectors
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills

• Experience supporting Workday U.S. Payroll
• Knowledge of Workday Time Tracking, Absence, Compensation, or Benefits
• Experience with Workday Studio, APIs, XML, or XSLT
• Familiarity with Workday security, payroll tax-related processes, and system testing
• Workday Pro accreditation or relevant Workday training
