Role Overview

As a Remote In‑Home Product Tester, you’ll be the bridge between consumers and brands. You’ll receive a product, follow a detailed testing schedule, capture your experience through photos, videos, and written feedback, and share your honest insights with leading market research firms. Your observations help companies refine their products before launch, ensuring they meet real‑world needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and unpack product kits delivered to your home.
• Read and follow the In‑Home Usage Test (IHUT) Daily Schedule, which may include:
  • Unpacking and initial setup
  • Using the product for a specified duration
  • Taking screenshots, audio recordings, or video clips
  • Writing detailed journal entries or reviews
  • Submitting online or mobile feedback via dedicated apps
  • Participating in private chat rooms or focus groups if requested
• Maintain the product in good condition and return it as instructed.
• Adhere strictly to privacy and confidentiality guidelines.
• Communicate any issues or questions promptly to the project coordinator.

Essential Qualifications

• Age 18 or older.
• Reliable computer and high‑speed internet connection.
• Access to a digital camera or a smartphone capable of high‑resolution photos and videos.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow step‑by‑step instructions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Honesty, reliability, and a genuine curiosity about new products.
• Ability to commit to 15–25 hours per week and maintain a consistent routine.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Previous experience in consumer research or product testing (not required).
• Familiarity with mobile testing platforms, such as brighthush’s Mobile In‑Home Use Test Technology.
• Basic knowledge of point‑of‑emotion analytics.
• Comfortable with using survey tools and data entry applications.
