Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. PurePath Medtech is seeking a Junior Cloud Engineer to support cloud-based environments for medical device consulting projects. The role involves assisting with cloud infrastructure setup, application deployment and monitoring, continuous integration and delivery, Linux systems, databases, troubleshooting, documentation, and automation while collaborating with senior engineers and consultants.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with setting up and configuring cloud infrastructure
• Deploying and monitoring applications
• Supporting continuous integration and delivery pipelines
• Working with Linux-based systems
• Basic database administration tasks
• Troubleshooting issues related to performance, reliability, and security
• Collaborate with senior engineers and consultants
• Document technical processes
• Contribute to automation efforts that improve efficiency and scalability

Skills

• Candidates should possess foundational skills in Cloud Computing and Infrastructure, including experience with at least one major cloud provider and basic understanding of networking and security concepts
• Candidates should possess Software Development skills, such as scripting or programming in languages commonly used for cloud automation (e.g., Python, Bash, or similar) and familiarity with version control tools
• Candidates should possess skills in working with Linux systems, including command-line usage, system configuration, and basic troubleshooting
• Candidates should possess skills related to Databases, such as understanding relational databases, basic querying, and awareness of data security and backup practices
• Additional beneficial qualifications include strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, effective written and verbal communication, and the ability to collaborate in a remote, cross-functional environment
• Relevant coursework or a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred, along with an interest in healthcare or medical technology
