Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Alera Group is hiring a P&C Account Manager for its Property & Casualty team. The role manages client accounts and renewals, provides responsive service and coverage guidance, and supports retention, risk management, and growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned book of business, overseeing renewals, endorsements, policy changes, cancellations, and new business onboarding
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, carriers, underwriters, and vendor partners to support account retention and service excellence
• Evaluate client exposures and coverage needs while supporting underwriting and risk management activities
• Coordinate day-to-day account servicing activities to ensure timely, accurate, and responsive client support
• Ensure compliance with agency procedures, carrier requirements, and applicable state and federal insurance regulations
• Identify opportunities to strengthen client relationships through cross-selling, up-selling, and additional risk management solutions
• Maintain accurate client information and documentation within agency management systems and related platforms
• Stay current on industry trends, carrier products, market conditions, and regulatory developments to better support clients

Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 3 to 5+ years of experience in a Property & Casualty insurance agency, brokerage, underwriting, or related environment
• Previous leadership, supervisory, or account management experience
• Strong knowledge of Property & Casualty insurance coverages, policy forms, rating concepts, and loss analysis
• Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Experience with agency management systems such as Applied Epic, AMS360, PL Rater, or similar platforms
• Active Property & Casualty Insurance License required
• College degree
• Experience supporting construction, pest control, or specialized commercial accounts
• Experience working directly with carrier partners and underwriting teams
• Professional designations such as CIC, CPCU, CRM, or similar
• Experience identifying growth opportunities within existing client relationships
