Active coding certification through AAPC or AHIMA required. -Extensive experience coding for Cardiology services, including: Interventional Radiology (IVR) Cardiovascular Interventional Radiology (CVIR) Cardiac Catheterization procedures Diagnostic and interventional catheter-based procedures -Strong knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10-CM, and medical necessity guidelines. -Understanding of National Correct Coding Initiative (NCCI) edits and payer-specific coding requirements. -Experience working claim edits, coding denials, and documentation clarification opportunities. -Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and encoder software.
