Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Staff Financial Group is recruiting for an established commercial real estate ownership and development company. The hands-on Senior Commercial Real Estate Accountant / Accounting Manager will handle property, partnership, and development accounting, owner and investor reporting, and work with ownership and leadership during succession planning.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounting, month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Prepare owner and investor reporting packages , partnership allocations, and capital account reconciliations
• Perform waterfall calculations , preferred returns, and investor distributions
• Handle accounting for grocery-anchored retail centers, restaurant tenants, and mixed-use developments
• Oversee CAM reconciliations, property expenses, and tenant recoveries
• Support development accounting, construction-in-progress, and intercompany transactions
• Work closely with ownership and existing leadership through the succession planning process

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong experience with partnership accounting, owner reporting, and waterfall calculations
• Experience with retail, mixed-use, office, multifamily, or other commercial properties
• Proficiency with MRI and/or Yardi and advanced Excel
• Strong GAAP knowledge, financial reporting, and full-cycle accounting skills
• Comfortable working independently in a hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves environment
• Preferably in commercial real estate
• Public accounting foundation
• CPA
