Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. ICF is hiring a Senior DevOps Engineer to support the future of GSA’s Login.gov. The role focuses on infrastructure automation, AWS cloud services, production deployments, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, incident response, and federal security compliance.

Responsibilities

• Infrastructure Management: Utilize Terraform and Kubernetes to manage and automate infrastructure provisioning and scaling
• Cloud Services: Leverage AWS services to ensure high availability, security, and performance of the application
• Deployment Management: Coordinate and execute production deployments of new functionality weekly
• On-Call Rotation: Participate in on-call rotations to provide timely support and incident resolution
• Agile Practices: Operate within a Scrumban framework to support continuous delivery and iterative improvement
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines
• Collaborate with development teams and security teams to ensure seamless deployment of features
• Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issues
• Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with federal standards
• Automate repetitive tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention

Skills

• Bachelor's degree
• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, or site reliability experience
• 4+ years of excellent problem-solving skills and end-to-end quantitative thinking
• 4+ years of experience administering production Kubernetes environments, including Amazon EKS, Helm, ingress, RBAC, secrets, upgrades, observability, and GitOps delivery
• Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust
• United States Citizen or Green Card holder required
• Candidate must reside in the U.S., be authorized to work in the U.S., and all work must be performed in the U.S
• All candidates must be authorized to work in the United States
• This position is not eligible for new H-1B visa sponsorship by ICF
• 7+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, or site reliability experience
• Experience taking ownership of and improving an existing production cloud platform, including its architecture, automation, reliability, security, and operational practices
• Experience with CloudFront, Route 53, ACM, Cognito, SQS, SNS, SES, Secrets Manager, S3, ECR, and cross-account AWS access patterns
• Ability to self-organize, priorities and conduct research on multiple projects under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, in a professional work environment
