Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior Frontend Developer to support a high-visibility software modernization initiative. The Senior Frontend Developer will transform legacy Excel-based workflows into modern, scalable web applications while developing data-intensive user interfaces and supporting enterprise search capabilities. This position is fully remote and requires candidates to work East Coast (EST) hours! Responsibilities of the Senior Frontend Developer: Develop responsive, modern web applications supporting enterprise search and data-driven platforms Build intuitive web-based user interfaces to replace legacy Excel-based workflows Design and develop reusable React components and scalable frontend architecture Integrate frontend applications with FastAPI backend services and RESTful APIs Build interactive data visualization components supporting financial positions, trading activity, equity data, and other complex datasets Collaborate with backend developers to design, consume, troubleshoot, and optimize APIs Ensure cross-browser compatibility, responsive design, application performance, and scalability Write clean, maintainable, testable, and well-documented code following software engineering best practices Troubleshoot and debug complex application issues across frontend, backend, and infrastructure layers Utilize Python and command-line tools to investigate application behavior and resolve technical issues Write and optimize SQL queries to support application functionality, data analysis, and troubleshooting Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, code reviews, and retrospectives Contribute to application architecture, technical design discussions, code reviews, and continuous process improvements Partner with development, data, and engineering teams throughout application modernization initiatives Qualifications for the Senior Frontend Developer: Strong hands-on React development experience, including component architecture, state management, hooks, and lifecycle concepts Advanced Python development experience with strong command-line proficiency Strong SQL experience, including complex queries, joins, data analysis, and database interaction Experience integrating frontend applications with RESTful APIs and FastAPI services Experience developing responsive, data-intensive web applications Strong proficiency with JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern ES6+ development Experience building reusable frontend components and scalable application architectures Strong application troubleshooting and debugging experience across frontend and backend environments Experience using Linux, Bash, CLI, or similar command-line environments Strong understanding of Git version control and collaborative software development workflows Experience working within Agile software development environments Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field; equivalent professional experience may be considered Preferred Qualifications: Experience developing financial services, trading, analytics, or other data-intensive applications Experience developing interactive data visualization capabilities Experience modernizing legacy Excel-based or desktop workflows into web applications Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, or similar relational databases Experience supporting enterprise search applications or platforms Familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP) or AI-enabled application integrations Experience contributing to frontend architecture and application modernization initiatives Experience working within complex enterprise application environments Compensation for the Senior Frontend Developer includes: Salary: $150,000 - $165,000 Comprehensive Benefits Package including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), PTO, and Paid Holidays Keywords: Senior Frontend Developer, Frontend Developer, Front End Developer, React Developer, React Engineer, ReactJS, React, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, ES6, Python Developer, Python, Command Line, Linux, Bash, CLI, SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, FastAPI, REST API, RESTful Services, API Integration, Full Stack Developer, Software Engineer, Web Application Development, UI Development, Responsive Design, Data Visualization, Financial Analytics, Enterprise Search, Search Platform, MCP, Model Context Protocol, Git, GitHub, Agile, Scrum, Data-Driven Applications, Modern Web Development, Software Modernization, Enterprise UI, Frontend Architecture, API Development, Application Debugging, Cross-Browser Compatibility, Performance Optimization, Remote Software Engineer, Remote React Developer, Remote Jobs
