Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. 5V Video is a profitable, growing video technology company that provides personalized and interactive video experiences across web, mobile, and connected TVs. The Senior React Native Engineer will own the architecture and evolution of the React Native SDK, building reusable components, native mobile integrations, high-performance interactive experiences, testing strategies, and release processes.

Responsibilities

• Owning the architecture and development of the React Native SDK, establishing patterns and technical foundations that scale across customers and products
• Designing and building reusable, developer-friendly SDK components and APIs
• Working across the React Native and native mobile layers, developing integrations with iOS and Android platform capabilities
• Building high-performance interactive experiences that combine video, UI, data, and real-time interactions
• Designing solutions for challenging mobile constraints including rendering performance, memory usage, network conditions, and device fragmentation
• Investigating and resolving complex issues across the React Native, JavaScript, and native iOS/Android layers
• Establishing and maintaining automated testing strategies across unit, integration, and UI testing
• Owning features through the full development lifecycle, from technical design through release, documentation, and post-release support
• Contributing to SDK versioning, release processes, and backwards compatibility
• Participating in on-call rotation and contributing to incident response

Skills

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including shipping production React Native applications
• Deep proficiency in React, React Native, JavaScript, and TypeScript
• Strong understanding of React Native architecture, including component design, rendering, state management, and the bridge/JSI/native layers
• Professional experience developing for both iOS and Android
• Experience writing native modules or integrating React Native with Swift/Objective-C and/or Kotlin/Java
• Experience integrating applications with REST, WebSocket, and similar real-time APIs
• Strong understanding of mobile performance, including rendering, memory management, network efficiency, and startup time
• Experience designing developer-facing APIs and documentation
