Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Omada Search is recruiting for an unnamed organization in long-term biological storage. The Senior Staff Accountant supports day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices promptly, ensuring proper coding and documentation
• Prepare weekly payments via ACH, check, and credit card
• Review employee expense reports for accuracy and compliance
• Maintain vendor records, including W-9 collection and 1099 support
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and communicate with vendors as needed
• Assist with process improvements and automation within the accounting system
• Support month-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations
• Reconcile key balance sheet accounts such as cash, prepaid expenses, and accruals
• Track fixed assets and record monthly depreciation entries
• Record daily bank transactions and monitor cash flow
• Assist in preparing monthly financial statements and internal reports
• Ensure transactions comply with GAAP and company accounting policies
• Generate standard financial and operational reports for leadership
• Assist with variance analysis and ad hoc reporting as needed
• Support audit preparation and internal review processes
• Provide excellent customer service when assisting with billing inquiries via phone or email
• Collaborate with finance and operations teams to ensure smooth accounting workflows
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support department goals

Skills

• 2-5 years of accounting and/or accounts payable experience
• Working knowledge of GAAP and data privacy standards
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a collaborative environment
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• CPA
• Experience with Acumatica or similar ERP systems
