Farnsworth Group is hiring a Sr. Engineering Manager to provide engineering, staff support, and quality control and assurance for transportation roadway and street projects. The role supports planning and design projects for local, statewide, and nationwide clients while leading staff, managing client relationships, and coordinating project budgets and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Engineer, support, and provide QC/QA for projects related to transportation planning and design
• Develop and mentor staff
• Collaborate with other disciplines
• Develop and maintain Client Relations
• Establish and maintain budgets and schedules
• Work in partnership with leadership and other team members throughout the Transportation Group and Company

Skills

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited Civil Engineering program
• 15+ years of transportation experience with diverse project experience
• Licensed Illinois Professional Engineer (PE)
• Experience working on and with IDOT, County, and Local Agency projects
• Proven leadership skills with engineering staff
• Strong team player in a multi-disciplinary environment
• Ability to effectively manage clients and deliver successful projects
• Ability to contribute to several projects simultaneously
• Working experience with Microsoft Office and knowledge of MicroStation, CONNECT, and ORD
