OPENLANE is seeking a software engineering leader to build and maintain scalable, cloud-native APIs and high-value core system components. The role focuses on improving core offerings, leading architecture and testing discussions, and collaborating across teams to deliver reliable, high-performing systems.

Responsibilities

• Continuously work on enhancing core offerings
• Lead technical discussions on software architecture and testing to ensure that we do not compromise on quality and performance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to construct and maintain high-value core system components, leveraging multiple technology stacks

Skills

• 8+ Years of experience building scalable, cloud-native APIs with .NET, preferably Core / Java / Kotlin
• University degree or advanced diploma in a software engineering-related discipline, preferably in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
• Experience with front-end JavaScript frameworks such as React
• Experience with telemetry and performance tuning leveraging modern APM tooling
• A strong understanding of application development, including development and testing methodologies
• Actively uses AI development tools (code copilots, AI debuggers, test generators)
• Curious about applying AI to real customer and business problems
• Able to critically evaluate AI outputs instead of blindly accepting them
• Experience with modern APM tooling
• Experience with Kubernetes and OpenTelemetry
• Experience with Svelte front-end frameworks
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
