The Territory Account Manager drives sales growth and manages customer and partner relationships within an assigned territory by developing business, supporting accounts, and coordinating internally to ensure customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Driving sales growth and managing relationships within an assigned geographic territory
• Identifying and developing new business opportunities, nurturing existing accounts, and providing consultative support to distributors, retailers, and other partners
• Regular virtual and in-person meetings with customers, presenting product solutions, preparing quotes, and following up on leads to close sales
• Monitors market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to inform strategy and improve territory performance
• Collaboration with internal teams such as customer service, logistics, and marketing is essential to ensure seamless order fulfillment, accurate product information, and a high level of customer satisfaction

Skills

• Proven experience in territory or account management, building materials, or related industries
• Strong skills in relationship building, customer service, and consultative selling
• Ability to analyze sales data, identify opportunities, and develop territory growth plans
• Effective communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, both in-person and via digital platforms
• Comfort with remote work technologies, CRM systems, and basic office software (e.g., email, spreadsheets, presentations)
• Self-directed work style with strong organization, time management, and follow-up skills
• Relevant education in business, sales, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• Knowledge of hardwood flooring or construction materials is an asset
