Position Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Customer Engineering Manager with a deep background in U.S. healthcare data projects, analytics, and stakeholder collaboration. In this senior‑level role, you will lead a high‑performing team of data engineers, serve as the primary technical liaison for our most strategic customers, and orchestrate complex data integration initiatives that support HEDIS, MIPS, eCQM, and other value‑based care programs. Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership & Development: Recruit, mentor, and grow a multidisciplinary team of data engineers, analysts, and BI specialists. Conduct regular performance reviews, set clear objectives, and foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
• Customer Requirement Management: Partner directly with C‑suite executives, clinical leaders, and IT directors to capture, prioritize, and translate business needs into technical specifications and project roadmaps.

• Analytics & Reporting Enablement: Guide the creation of PowerBI and Tableau dashboards that surface HEDIS, MIPS, eCQM, and other quality metrics, ensuring visualizations are accurate, performant, and aligned with regulatory timelines.
• Technical Project Management: Apply agile and waterfall methodologies as appropriate, manage scope, schedule, risk, and budget, and deliver projects on time and within agreed‑upon quality thresholds.
• Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product management, solutions architecture, security, and compliance teams to guarantee that all deliverables meet brighthush’s high standards for data privacy (HIPAA) and security.
• Stakeholder Communication: Produce executive‑level status reports, conduct quarterly business reviews, and act as the trusted advisor who translates technical complexities into clear business value.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline processes, adopt emerging technologies (e.g., cloud data warehouses, AI‑driven analytics), and embed best practices across the engineering organization.

Essential Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands‑on experience delivering large‑scale U.S. healthcare data integration and analytics projects, with a proven track record of successful implementations of HEDIS, MIPS, and eCQM initiatives.
• Strong technical foundation in SQL, Python, and modern data engineering tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, dbt, Snowflake, Azure Data Factory).
• Expertise in business intelligence platforms, specifically PowerBI and Tableau, including dashboard design, data modeling, and performance optimization.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams of 5‑20 engineers, fostering high engagement, accountability, and professional growth.
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with experience presenting to senior leadership, clinicians, and non‑technical audiences.
