Role Description The Senior Director of Market Insights is a full-time, remote role responsible for leading market and customer insight initiatives across multiple client engagements. This role oversees the design and execution of market research projects, interprets complex data sets, and translates findings into clear, actionable business insights and strategic recommendations. The Senior Director will collaborate with student consultants and client stakeholders, mentor team members in research and analysis best practices, and ensure deliverables meet high standards of quality and rigor. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing insight frameworks, reviewing research instruments, synthesizing customer feedback, presenting insights in reports and presentations, and contributing to broader consulting strategies. The role also involves continuous improvement of research methodologies and tools to strengthen Alpha Consults’ impact on client decision-making.

Qualifications

Ability to generate meaningful Business Insights and strategic recommendations from data and research findings. Strong proficiency in Market Analysis and Market Research, including designing studies, segmenting markets, and assessing competitive landscapes. Advanced Analytical Skills for working with qualitative and quantitative data, identifying patterns, and building evidence-based narratives. Experience in deriving Customer Insight to inform client strategies, product positioning, and experience improvements. Proven experience in a senior insights, strategy, or consulting role, preferably with exposure to multiple industries. Comfort working in a remote, collaborative environment and mentoring early-career or student team members. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex concepts in clear, concise formats. Strong project management capabilities, with attention to detail, prioritization, and meeting deadlines across concurrent projects. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Data Analytics, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Familiarity with research tools (e.g., survey platforms, spreadsheets, basic statistical software) is highly beneficial.
