Senior QA Engineer (Finance and Data), B2B Contract

Length: 3 months initially, with an extension likely

Location: Remote, within 80km of Iași, Cluj-Napoca or Bucharest

Hours: 9am to 5pm UK time (11am to 7pm in Romania) Why this role

You're the tester people go to when the numbers don't add up.

In a lot of QA roles that work gets squeezed in around regression testing. Here, it's the main job.

You'll have time to investigate problems properly, trace them back to the cause and see them fixed.

You'll be placed with one of our clients, a UK online marketplace, in a product team of engineers and QA. What you'll be doing

Testing ledger and financial processes to make sure every transaction is recorded correctly.

Checking reports against source data and finding where they don't match.

Using SQL to dig into data issues and work out what's causing them.

Writing clear bug reports that engineers can act on quickly.

Mostly manual testing, with some automation where it saves time. What you get

A fully remote contract on UK hours, starting with 3 months and an extension likely.

A clear focus on financial data quality, with the support of a wider QA team. What you'll need

Senior QA experience, with a good amount of it spent testing financial systems, ledgers or accounting data.

Confidence writing SQL queries to investigate data.

Experience reconciling figures between systems and checking reports for accuracy.

A methodical way of working out why data is wrong.

Some test automation experience, or a willingness to build it.

Fluent English, written and spoken.

Availability now or at very short notice. Nice to have

Playwright, JavaScript or TypeScript.

Experience in ecommerce or online marketplaces. How to apply
