Software Engineer - 100% Remote
About the Company
Invoca is an AI-powered revenue execution platform that connects marketing, commerce, and contact center teams to turn customer interactions into measurable business growth. The company focuses on helping organizations improve customer experiences and revenue outcomes through AI-driven technology. At Invoca, innovation and collaboration are central to how teams develop products and deliver value.
About the Role
Invoca is seeking Senior and Staff-level engineers across multiple software engineering specializations to help shape its agentic development environment. In this environment, AI is integrated into the software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, deployment, and operations. Engineers across reliability, security, data, quality, delivery, customer deployment, and architecture will help rethink how software is built, delivered, and maintained. This role focuses on measurable outcomes rather than a specific technology stack. You will take ownership of a critical area of the engineering lifecycle, improve its speed, quality, safety, and effectiveness, and introduce AI-driven workflows where they deliver practical value. You will also build reusable tools and practices, influence technical standards across teams, and connect engineering decisions to business and customer outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Take end-to-end ownership of a critical stage of the engineering lifecycle within your area of expertise, such as reliability, security, data, quality, delivery, customer deployment, or architecture. Define standards and measurable success criteria for your domain and maintain high expectations for outcomes. Identify opportunities to apply AI and agentic workflows to improve engineering processes, including incident detection, test generation, security reviews, data pipelines, and deployment automation. Establish safe, observable, and auditable approaches to integrating AI into engineering workflows. Build shared tools, platforms, and practices that can be adopted across engineering teams. Treat internal engineering teams as users by defining adoption goals and measuring the impact of your solutions. Connect technical decisions to business priorities, including development speed, cost, risk, customer trust, and revenue impact. Partner with engineering and product leadership to prioritize initiatives based on measurable customer and business value. Drive technical direction and establish standards across multiple teams within your specialization. Influence technical decisions through sound judgment, clear communication, and evidence-based recommendations. Act as a trusted technical advisor to engineering and product leadership.
Required Qualifications
For Senior-level roles, 5+ years of experience in software engineering with deep expertise in your specialization. For Staff-level roles, 8+ years of experience in software engineering with deep expertise in your specialization. A track record of delivering measurable improvements in production environments. Experience building systems, tools, or practices that achieve broad adoption by improving engineering speed, quality, or safety. Practical experience applying new tools and technologies, with an interest in AI and agentic workflows. Strong technical judgment and a preference for simple, effective solutions that teams can adopt. Ability to connect technical work to business and customer outcomes and communicate its value clearly. Experience collaborating across engineering, product, and business functions. A strong sense of ownership, curiosity, and urgency in a fast-moving technical environment. Success Metrics Within the first 12 months, success will be measured by clear, measurable improvements in the outcomes associated with your domain, such as system reliability, security, data quality, product quality, delivery speed, customer time-to-value, or architectural consistency. Tools, platforms, and practices you develop are adopted broadly across engineering teams. AI and agentic workflows are integrated meaningfully into your domain, with appropriate safety and observability measures. Engineering and product leadership recognize you as a trusted authority in your specialization. Your work demonstrates a clear connection to business performance or customer outcomes.
