Sr. ServiceNow Developer-Remote in Texas only

Remote · Ghana Full-time

Fulcrum Technology Solutions is working exclusively with a client looking for a full time ServiceNow Developer. Because of HR requirements even though the role is 100% remote, this person has to live in the state of Texas. Outside candidates WILL NOT be considered. The Senior Systems Developer will operate with a high degree of autonomy, lead full-lifecycle development of complex solutions, and serve as a technical resource for architecture, integrations, security, and platform best practices. This is an opportunity for an experienced developer who enjoys solving complex problems, improving systems, mentoring others, and helping establish better development standards across an organization. If you've spent several years working with ServiceNow and enterprise applications and are ready to have a broader technical impact beyond simply executing tickets, this role is built for you.

What You'll Do

Technical Solution Development Lead full-lifecycle development of complex ServiceNow applications, features, workflows, and integrations. Follow ServiceNow development best practices with a strong focus on sustainable configuration over unnecessary customization. Design and implement solutions across cloud-based applications, enterprise platforms, and supporting technologies. Establish development standards and participate in rigorous peer code reviews. Mentor less-experienced developers and help promote scalable, maintainable development practices. System Architecture & Integration Design system specifications, application architectures, data models, and technical solutions. Develop and manage integrations between ServiceNow and internal/external enterprise applications. Work with REST, SOAP, IntegrationHub, APIs, and other integration technologies. Analyze system performance and identify opportunities to improve scalability, reliability, and efficiency. Troubleshoot complex issues across distributed production environments. Data Security & Compliance Serve as a technical resource for platform security and data protection practices. Implement and maintain appropriate access controls, ACLs, encryption, identity management, and security configurations. Partner with security and compliance teams to ensure applications and integrations meet organizational requirements. Participate in security reviews and help maintain compliance across development, test, and production environments. System Design & Performance Build application structures and data models that support highly available, business-critical environments. Conduct technical discovery, requirements gathering, and feasibility assessments. Evaluate existing solutions and recommend improvements to architecture, performance, scalability, and maintainability. Help ensure integrations and applications maintain data integrity and support critical business workflows. Cross-Functional & SDLC Governance Translate business and technical requirements into actionable development plans and technical roadmaps. Partner with business stakeholders, technical teams, vendors, and leadership to develop effective solutions. Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes. Help improve CI/CD practices, deployment processes, and overall SDLC governance. Maintain clear technical documentation to support long-term system maintainability. Development Lifecycle Leadership Lead and participate in code reviews and technical design discussions. Oversee testing across unit, integration, system, and user acceptance testing. Establish and maintain a high standard for production releases. Help ensure solutions are thoroughly tested, secure, scalable, and supportable before deployment. Take ownership of solutions beyond initial implementation and continuously look for ways to improve them. Production Support & Troubleshooting Troubleshoot complex production issues and work directly with end users to resolve technical problems. Provide timely communication and follow-up throughout the issue-resolution process. Investigate root causes and implement permanent solutions rather than temporary fixes. Partner with technical and business stakeholders to ensure issues are resolved effectively and efficiently. Balance strong technical problem-solving skills with a customer-focused approach. Preferred Certifications ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) — any specialty What We're Looking For 5+ years of professional ServiceNow development experience.
