Role Description The VP of Marketing at SG Academy is a part-time, remote role responsible for overseeing the organization’s overall marketing vision and execution. This position leads the development of strategic marketing plans, aligning campaigns with organizational goals and audience needs. Day-to-day tasks include guiding market research initiatives, analyzing trends, and adjusting strategies to improve brand visibility and engagement. The VP of Marketing collaborates with cross-functional teams to manage budgets, prioritize projects, and ensure consistent messaging across all channels. This role also oversees public relations efforts, reviews marketing performance metrics, and provides leadership and mentorship to the marketing team.

Qualifications

Ability to lead strategic Market Planning and overall Marketing initiatives to support organizational growth and brand positioning. Proficiency in Market Research and Marketing Management to identify opportunities, understand audience behavior, and optimize campaigns. Experience in Marketing and Public Relations to build brand awareness, manage reputation, and communicate effectively with stakeholders. Demonstrated leadership skills, including team management, cross-functional collaboration, and decision-making in a senior marketing role. Strong analytical skills with experience using marketing metrics and digital tools to measure performance and inform strategy. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, compelling messaging for diverse audiences. Experience in education, training, or related sectors is beneficial; prior executive or director-level marketing experience is preferred. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
