Note : Candidate Should be based in USA Role Description The Forward Deployed Engineer role at PPLIED is a full-time remote position focused on implementing, customizing, and supporting PPLIED’s platform directly for customers and internal teams. In this role, the engineer collaborates closely with product, data, and engineering teams to understand customer requirements and translate them into technical solutions, integrations, and workflows. Daily tasks include building and maintaining APIs and data pipelines, configuring platform features, troubleshooting issues in production environments, and improving performance and reliability. The Forward Deployed Engineer also partners with customers and stakeholders to gather feedback, conduct technical discovery, and propose enhancements that increase automation and matching quality. This role requires comfort with working in a fast-paced, product-centric environment and directly engaging with users to ensure successful deployments and ongoing adoption.

Qualifications

Strong software engineering skills, with experience in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go) and familiarity with software development best practices. Experience integrating APIs, working with REST/GraphQL services, and building or maintaining data pipelines and microservices. Proficiency with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and monitoring tools to support production systems. Solid understanding of relational and/or NoSQL databases, data modeling, and performance optimization for data-intensive applications. Ability to work directly with customers and cross-functional teams, translating business requirements into technical solutions and clearly communicating trade-offs. Comfort with remote collaboration tools and practices, with a track record of working independently and managing priorities in distributed teams. Background in building or supporting SaaS platforms, HR tech, or hiring/marketplace systems is a plus. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Note : We are hiring for our partners
