Bay Path University is seeking a part-time online adjunct instructor for the follow course: EDU 250 - Introduction to Special Education (3 credits) This course deals with the implications of disabling conditions on optimal learning potential and daily well-being of children. Emphasis is on identification of disabling conditions and techniques used to promote successful integration of children with and without special needs in education settings. Topics covered include familiarity with individualized education plans, intervention and instructional strategies for diverse learners, including cognitive, social and emotional strategies, and collaborative partnerships with families and community resources. Observations are required. Adjunct faculty pay rates vary, depending on academic discipline and the course's credit load and level. Master's degree or higher. Teaching experience at the elementary levels and/or special education is required. Early Childhood Pk-2, and/or Elementary 1-6, Massachusetts Teaching Licenses, Initial or higher, is required.
