Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Commercial Bank of Texas is hiring an Accounting Assistant to perform accounting calculations, postings, verifications, and account reconciliations. The role also supports cash management, Federal Reserve entries and wire transfers, accounts payable, and the Accounting Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Reconciles Bank accounts or General Ledger accounts on a daily or monthly basis as assigned
• Balances Cash daily
• Work corresponding bank adjustments in a timely manner
• Originate all types of Fed entries
• Responsible for dormant letters to be sent quarterly
• Assists in Fed Wire Transfers and in maintaining bank's cash position
• Prepare Accounts Payable as needed
• Provides general support to other areas as necessary
• Serves as back-up to pre-processing night job
• Perform other duties as assigned

Skills

• U.S. Citizen or legally qualified to reside and work in the United States
• Over the age of 18 and not disqualified from fidelity bond coverage
• Above average computer skills
• Must have a strong knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software applications
• Knowledge of Bank policies and procedures and regulatory compliance laws
