Shields Health Solutions is seeking a Director of Operations to lead and scale specialty pharmacy programs across health system partners. The role owns partnership performance and P&L, drives growth initiatives, and leads teams to deliver strong operational and patient-care outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Full P&L ownership across assigned health system partnerships
• Lead day-to-day operations, including oversight of in-clinic pharmacy liaison teams across multiple specialties (e.g., oncology, rheumatology, transplant)
• Drive strategic growth initiatives—identify opportunities, build business cases, and execute in partnership with health system leadership
• Act as a trusted advisor to hospital executives, influencing decisions at the VP level and above
• Ensure delivery of exceptional patient outcomes, access, and satisfaction across the specialty pharmacy continuum
• Build and execute account plans to expand and optimize partner performance
• Lead cross-functional collaboration across clinical, pharmacy, and corporate teams to improve workflows and outcomes
• Manage, coach, and develop high-performing, multidisciplinary teams
• Create a culture of ownership, accountability, and patient-first thinking
• Translate data into action—identify trends, solve problems, and continuously improve operations
• Deliver clear, executive-level updates and insights to senior leadership

Skills

• 7+ years of experience
• Bachelor's Degree
• Proven ability to own outcomes in complex, fast-paced environments
• Strong track record of leading teams and driving performance against financial and operational KPIs
• Highly analytical and data-driven, with experience building business cases and influencing senior stakeholders
• Entrepreneurial mindset—comfortable rolling up your sleeves and executing
• Excellent communication skills, with experience presenting to executive audiences
• Solid computer skills are required, including proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) for communication, documentation, and data management, as well as, navigating the internet and web-based platforms
• Ideally in consulting, private equity, investment banking, or healthcare operations
• MBA or other advanced degree preferred
