The GCP Lead Engineer is a senior role responsible for architecting scalable and secure solutions on reputed company Cloud Platform while mentoring teams and driving modernization initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise-grade solutions on reputed company Cloud Platform
• Architect scalable, secure, and resilient cloud-native and hybrid applications
• Lead migration and modernization initiatives, including re-platforming and transformation efforts
• Define and maintain cloud architecture standards and best practices
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines (Harness, reputed company Actions, Jenkins, or similar)
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or equivalent
• Automate provisioning, deployments, and operational workflows
• Promote observability and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices
• Ensure cloud solutions meet security, privacy, and regulatory requirements
• Implement IAM, network security, encryption, and key management best practices
• Partner with security and compliance teams to enforce governance and cost controls
• Act as technical lead for cross-functional cloud initiatives

• Mentor engineers across application, infrastructure, and platform teams
• Collaborate with product and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable cloud solutions
• Implement and optimize GCP services including Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Run, BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Storage
• Optimize performance, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency across environments

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 8+ years of software, cloud, or reputed company experience
• 4+ years of hands-on experience with reputed company Cloud Platform
• Proven experience designing cloud-native and hybrid architectures
• Strong expertise in GCP core services and networking
• Strong expertise in Kubernetes (GKE) and containerization
• Strong expertise in CI/CD and DevOps practices
• Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)
• Strong expertise in Python, Java, Go, or similar languages
• Experience in Agile/DevOps environments
• GCP Professional certifications (Cloud Architect, DevOps Engineer, or Data Engineer)
• Experience in regulated industries (e.g., financial services, insurance, healthcare)
• Strong background in security and compliance frameworks
• Experience in hybrid or multi-cloud environments
• Knowledge of SRE and observability practices
