Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Mavan is hiring a Local SEO Specialist to execute and optimize Local SEO campaigns across multiple client accounts. The role focuses on analyzing campaign performance, improving local search visibility and lead generation, guiding team execution, and strengthening SEO processes.

Responsibilities

• Own the execution and ongoing optimization of established SEO roadmaps across assigned client accounts
• Oversee Local SEO initiatives, including Google Business Profile optimization, local keyword targeting, Google Maps visibility, citations, and location-based SEO
• Guide on-page, technical, content, and off-page SEO efforts to improve organic visibility and lead generation
• Identify growth opportunities, competitive gaps, and areas where existing strategies may need adjustments
• Ensure all SEO activities are purposeful, aligned with campaign objectives, and executed to a high standard
• Analyze weekly and monthly SEO performance using GA4, GSC, SEMrush, Search Atlas, and other relevant tools
• Monitor keyword rankings, local search visibility, organic traffic, GBP performance, leads, and conversions
• Investigate performance fluctuations, identify root causes, and proactively recommend actionable solutions
• Recognize when standardized roadmaps may need adjustments and develop data-driven recommendations or alternative approaches
• Translate performance insights into clear priorities and next steps that contribute to measurable growth
• Collaborate with SEO specialists, content teams, Project Managers, and Account Managers to ensure effective campaign execution
• Provide clear direction on SEO priorities, deliverables, and expected outcomes
• Review SEO work for quality, accuracy, and alignment with campaign objectives
• Support Account Managers with performance insights, strategic explanations, and recommendations for client communication
• Proactively communicate risks, roadblocks, opportunities, and necessary strategy adjustments
• Follow and support Mavan's established SEO SOPs, frameworks, and quality standards
• Identify opportunities to improve SEO roadmaps, workflows, and overall campaign effectiveness
• Stay current on Local SEO best practices, algorithm updates, AI search developments, and emerging industry trends
• Share successful tactics, testing insights, and recommendations that can be applied across multiple client accounts

Skills

• 3–5+ years of hands-on SEO experience, with strong expertise in Local SEO
• Proven experience managing multiple SEO campaigns, preferably in an agency environment
• Strong understanding of Google Business Profile optimization, local ranking factors, on-page SEO, technical SEO, content optimization, and link building
• Proficiency with GA4, GSC, SEMrush, Search Atlas, Ahrefs, or similar SEO platforms
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate performance data into actionable recommendations
• Ability to independently investigate SEO challenges, identify opportunities, and recommend strategic solutions
• Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
• Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership without constant supervision
• Familiarity with AI search optimization and evolving SEO best practices is a must
• Experience with WordPress and project management tools such as ClickUp is preferred
