Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. CSA Group is hiring a Mechanical Engineer PE to design HVAC, plumbing, and piping projects. The role prepares design and permitting documents, performs HVAC load calculations and reporting, and participates in site surveys and client meetings throughout design and construction.

Responsibilities

• Design for HVAC, plumbing and piping projects
• Prepare design documents for permitting, bidding and construction
• Attend site surveys and field measure existing conditions
• Prepare cooling and heating load calculations utilizing Trane Trace Software
• Write reports on HVAC systems and designs
• Prepare HVAC load calculations
• Attend client meetings during the design of a project and during construction

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 10-15 years of design experience for HVAC systems
• Professional Engineer License required
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office
• Familiar with Trane Trace 700 or Trace 3D plus (for the cooling/heating loads calculations)
• Capable of writing reports on HVAC systems and designs
• Curiosity and interest in continuous learning in AI and comfort experimenting and iterating quickly; uses data to validate ideas and measure impact
• Commitment to ethical and responsible AI adoption, including privacy-by-design and safe use of tools
