Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Akamai Technologies is hiring a Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer to oversee operations across its global data centers. The role monitors and maintains data centers, networks, and servers, and coordinates hardware deployment, repairs, migrations, and upgrades.

Responsibilities

• Deploying and repairing servers, storage systems, routers, switches, and other hardware
• Installing hardware, cabling, firmware, and software both on-site and remotely
• Managing hardware decommission projects, including hardware disposal and data destruction
• Shipping and receiving networking equipment to maintain network availability and reliability
• Performing project work for data center migrations and hardware platform upgrades
• Coordinating data center deployments from hardware requests to rack design

Skills

• Have 8 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree
• Have experience in a NOC environment with hands-on hardware experience
• Be knowledgeable of computer hardware and networking equipment
• Possess solid troubleshooting skills in a large-scale data center environment
• Have understanding of Linux system administration, server administration, and internals
• Demonstrate professional problem solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
