Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. WhiteCap Workforce Solutions is recruiting for an unnamed client, a tax and accounting practice. The role oversees tax return preparation and review, manages client relationships, provides accounting support, and guides junior staff while serving high-net-worth individuals and small to midsize businesses.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review complex tax returns for high-net-worth individuals and small to midsize businesses
• Manage client relationships, serving as a primary point of contact for tax-related questions, requests, and ongoing needs
• Prepare and review detailed financial statements and provide accounting support as needed
• Oversee client communications and ensure timely, accurate delivery of work products
• Supervise and mentor staff, providing guidance on tax engagements and day-to-day responsibilities
• Support engagements involving gift and estate tax, tax-exempt entities, and other specialized tax matters as needed
• Perform occasional offsite work at client locations to support client engagements and maintain strong relationships
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen client service, and enhance the overall efficiency of engagements
• Assist with audit-related work as needed

Skills

• 3+ years of public accounting experience with a mid-size to large accounting firm, including a focus on high-net-worth individual taxation
• Experience preparing and reviewing individual and business tax returns
• Strong client service and relationship management skills, with excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Proven analytical, organizational, and time management skills
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with QuickBooks, tax and accounting software, and Microsoft Office
• CPA license preferred, but not required
• Experience with UltraTax is a plus
• Knowledge of gift and estate taxation, tax-exempt entities, or auditing is advantageous
• A master's degree in accounting or taxation is a strong plus
