Robert Half is recruiting for a Staff Accountant/AP role focused on processing accounts payable and supporting general accounting activities. The role includes reconciliations, close support, audit assistance, and accounting record maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Process high-volume vendor invoices and ensure timely, accurate payments
• Perform three-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and receipts
• Manage vendor setup and maintain vendor records
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice discrepancies
• Prepare weekly check runs, ACH, and wire payments
• Monitor AP aging and ensure proper coding and approvals
• Assist with 1099 preparation and year-end reporting
• Prepare and post journal entries
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate variances
• Support accounts receivable and cash application as needed
• Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation
• Assist with financial audits and special projects
• Support budgeting and reporting requests from management

Skills

• 1+ years of accounting and accounts payable experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems (NetSuite, Sage, Dynamics 365, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar)
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
